Any oldtimer around Woodstock
will speak fondly of the good old days when, as young bucks in their first car, they cruised up and down Dundas Street looking for whomever wherever during week ends and summer evenings.
Wismer's Drive-In was the east terminus where the Dundas cruisers could pull in for excellent food and shakes and to compare Ford flatheads and fender skirts and perhaps pick up other skirts before heading back west.
So, it only seemed appropriate to model Wismer's on the road leading out of Wellington [the layout's equivalent of Woodstock]
just to bring out nostagic memories of good times and good food.
